Colpac seals health and safety recognition from the BPIF

COLPAC has received the Health and Safety Seal of Excellence Award from the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) after scoring 100% in the audit.

The firm said the review demonstrates its commitment to health and safety across its UK manufacturing facility and builds on Colpac’s ISO45001 accreditation.

To receive the accolade, companies must achieve a minimum score of 80% from the audit with all legal requirements being verified. This includes a review of procedures and policies, safe systems of work, risk assessments, activities, and records.

Colpac said its score of 100% demonstrates the BPIF auditor was ‘thoroughly impressed’ with health and safety at the manufacturing site in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.

“The award confirms our prioritisation of health and safety across all aspects of our operations,” said Frances Dickman, compliance and QA Manager at Colpac. “We always welcome opportunities for improvement and the BPIF review was considered a tool to further reinforce our positive safety culture.

“Our people are integral to this, and we are proud of what we have achieved together thus far.”

Engagement with the BPIF as a platinum member gives Colpac access to expert support, industry training, and business improvement consultation.

Neil Goldman, CEO at Colpac, added, “I am thrilled that we have been awarded the seal of excellence for health and safety. It is testament to the hard work of our team to ensure that we adhere to strict safety practices and look after each other.”

Colpac added that its company culture encourages openness in reporting safety concerns, while regular training is provided to ensure hazard awareness.
