PPMA Total Show delivers once again for visitors and exhibitors

THE 2022 PPMA Total Show has been hailed a ‘resounding success’ after more than 350 exhibitors displayed their latest products and innovations at the NEC Birmingham.

Organisers said the processing and packaging industry has provided ‘very positive feedback’ about this year’s exhibition, which featured a number of launches and ‘first showings’ of the latest technologies, automated solutions, robotics, and vision systems

Paul Webster, Yamato’s national sales manager, described the three-day event as a ‘one-stop shop’ for the company’s customers. He added, “Every solution in the world is here.”

Visitor Nicole Carr, project manager at Pepsi Co, said, “It was good to see what other technologies are out in the market and what opportunities there are.”

A highlight of the week was the PPMA Gala Dinner, featuring a performance from stand-up comedian Jason Manford in front of hundreds of exhibitors and VIPs.

The PPMA Industry Awards were also handed out during the exhibition to winners including Markem-Imaje, Fortress Technology, Pace Machine Handling, Crest Solutions, and Epson (UK).

The seminar programme was centred around the theme ‘The Future Of…’ and compiled to address the opportunities and challenges facing UK industry. Seminars also emphasised the efforts being made to make the manufacturing industry more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Richard Little, PPMA show director, said, “It is both overwhelming and gratifying to receive such positive and encouraging feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike. We are delighted that once again, in its 34th year, PPMA Total Show has delivered an event that reaches into the very heart of our industry, addressing the needs of our members as well as delivering on the aspirations and expectations of our visitors.”

The PPMA Show returns to the NEC from September 26-28 next year.
