ALUMINIUM foil tray manufacturer, i2r Packaging Solutions, has appointed James Knight to the newly created role of managing director.
He takes on responsibility for the commercial and operational running of the company from joint founders, Peter Reay and Jon West, who will focus more on special projects and international development.
James Knight has a background in implementing business improvement platforms across market sectors within SMEs and large-scale PLCs. He previously worked in a number of international roles as an MD and several executive leadership positions in commercial, financial and manufacturing industries.
As MD, he will be tasked with continuing to develop the company’s workforce and enhancing partnerships across the supply chain. Following a period of investments, including five new extrusion presses at the firm’s UK manufacturing site, i2r revealed it is looking to further expand its reach globally, while developing its brand ambassadors to create future packaging innovation.
