BOBST UK & Ireland’s annual charity golf day has raised £6,500 for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund.
The event was hosted at the Redditch Golf Club and supported by sponsors, with 17 teams comprising suppliers, partners, customers, and BOBST employees taking part before a two-course dinner, raffle, and auction took place.
Over the past five years, BOBST, a supplier of equipment and services to packaging and label manufacturers in the folding carton, corrugated board and flexible materials industries, has raised money for the DMRC Benevolent Fund through a range of events and fundraising activities.
As a volunteer-run charity, the DMRC provides holistic, occupational, and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at the Ministry of Defence facility, Stanford Hall, in the Midlands.
Doris Morrison, HR manager at Bobst UK & Ireland, said, “This charity golf day has become a highlight of our social calendar and its success is thanks to the continued support of our customers and suppliers. It is great being able to raise funds for this charity which does sterling work in assisting serving armed forces personnel with specialist goods and services while undertaking mental and physical rehabilitation programmes.”
