ULMA Packaging UK has announced the appointment of Alan Atkinson as sales manager for non-produce in the north east.
Bringing 30 years’ experience in the packaging industry to the role, Alan will primarily be focusing on packaging for dairy, bakery and medical products using technologies such as tray-sealing, thermoforming and flow-wrapping.
He said, “I am very excited to be starting the next step of my career at ULMA Packaging, helping their customers source the best possible packaging machinery to fit their needs. Using my skills and experience, I cannot wait to help ULMA grow their non-produce section having been drawn to the company due to their equipment range, which goes beyond the traditional choices of solely flow-wrappers and vertical packaging machines.
“I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by packaging sales – my father spent his entire career working within the industry and was the inspiration behind my own career choice. Although the industry has evolved over the years, offering the best possible service certainly hasn’t, and I bring those high standards to my work every day.
