CONTRACT packing specialist WePack has unveiled the firm’s latest ‘eco-friendly’ Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) solution, which is made entirely from paper.
WePack said its product is one of the first plastic-free, compostable pouches for dry, ambient products to be launched in the UK.
Although the bags are made from paper, they can still be heat-sealed to store dry and food products. The recyclable paper film can be printed with full branding.
The VFFS paper bags can also be formed into ready-to-use, stand-up pouches.
WePack said the solution is suitable for granular products such as salt, spices, flour, seaweed products, oats or seeds. It is also possible to store small solid products like beef jerky, granola, cereal, chocolate chips, or popcorn.
