Premium chocolate specialist unveils new sustainable packs

PREMIUM Belgian chocolate giant Guylian has unveiled new packaging and an upgraded recipe for its chocolate with hazelnut praliné offering.

“By changing our design and brand, we also want to introduce a broader target group to the unrivalled taste of our premium Belgian chocolate,” explained Tom Snick, CEO of Guylian. “The packaging will have a more contemporary and fresh design, while retaining the luxurious look.”

From relaunch, Guylian will offer a selected limited curated range. The focus is on seashells and seahorses. The firm will also be introducing themed packaging around the occasions of Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas. The packaging for the duty-free channel will also get a makeover, with the new packs available from April.

Guylian revealed that all new packaging has been designed to be fully recyclable. The firm is looking into ways of further reducing its use of paper and plastic.
