MARKEM-Imaje has announced it is set to release a new range of GS1-compliant print and apply thermal labels.
The Label MI series has been designed and certified to work with the firm’s existing Ribbon MI series and ‘maximise’ printhead life.
The new series comprises three thermal transfer label categories and a direct label category to meet the needs of end-of- line case and pallet labelling requirements. The range includes:
- Label MI Prime – described as a ‘cost-effective’ label for optimum use with print and apply labellers and desktop printers. This is suitable for applications such as plastic, film, glass, card, and corrugated board
- Label MI Performance – designed for ‘durability and long-term removability’ from a range of substrates or low temperature resistance, including deepfreeze
- Label MI Premium – for ‘enhancing’ packaging design whilst ensuring ‘durable and compliant’ codes
- Label MI Direct – ‘high quality’ prints for short to medium term applications
Mike Kirk, print and apply product marketing manager, Markem-Imaje, said, “We understand that our customers require solutions that give maximum efficiency and minimum worry. With the Label MI Series we are providing a guarantee of GSI compliance, optimized up-time with our longer rolls and a range designed to work seamlessly with our Label MI Ribbon Series – simplifying purchasing.
“Our goal is always to find a solution to our customers’ pain points, and we know that sourcing and purchasing compatible labels can be an unnecessary drain on time. We’re pleased to be able to eliminate that hurdle with our new range.”
