£10 Billion Debate will see major packaging issues explored at London event

ORGANISERS of Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London have announced the launch of its new £10 Billion Debate, which will bring together major names together to explore government initiatives to manage packaging waste when the show begins later this week.

The line-up includes representatives from Iceland, Waitrose, the Packaging Society, the Foodservice Packaging Association and OPRL, amongst others.

On Day One, the debate will showcase industry stakeholders exploring the impacts on packaging development, design, manufacturing, and recovery, as new regulations are introduced, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), and Waste Management Consistency (WMS).

The £10 Billion Debate will comprise of a programme of seminar content at the show that will address questions across the food, drinks, beauty, and retail industries. Sessions will explore packaging design, trends, technological advancements, and sustainability with specialists from PepsiCo, WWF, and The Body Shop.
