DIMACO – part of the Jenton Group – is to highlight its range of Veri-PACK label verification equipment at Foodex 2021.
The systems checks correct labels have been applied to products and that all essential pre-printed and overprinted data such as barcodes, dates, price and weight are accurate and legible. It also checks that labels are correctly positioned without rips and other imperfections.
The firm explained that label related defects are a ‘major’ reason why food is returned to the manufacturer with typical errors including incorrect use by dates or missing allergen information.
The equipment is available as off-line sampling stations, online systems integrated into other packaging machines or as independent conveyorised units with reject devices.
