EMPLOYEES from Perth-based Thermo Fisher Scientific have marked the festive season by donating food gifts to the Compassionate Christmas campaign run by local not-for-profit organisation, the Giraffe Café.
The Giraffe Café is aiming to provide 500 households with a Christmas food parcel that will include a 3-course meal using locally sourced produce and other sweet treats. The Thermo Fisher employees donated over 100 boxes of sweets and chocolates, and the company also made a donation of £2,500 to contribute to the cost of providing the food parcels.
Stewart Blair, director of operations and Perth site leader at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said, “The team’s generosity is incredible and we are all delighted to be able to support the Giraffe Café this Christmas. This year has been exceptionally difficult for many families and these food parcels will go a long way to support those most in need.”
