QUAKER has removed the plastic lids from its Oat So Simple range of porridge pots, in what parent company PepsiCo described as another step towards its sustainable packaging vision.
Corinne Chant, Quaker marketing director said, “These pots are already widely recyclable, but it’s great to make another positive change. As we work towards building a world where plastics need never become waste, this is yet another stepping stone by a PepsiCo brand, this time delivering a 14% overall saving in this range’s annual plastic usage.
“Consumers are very clear that they want to see brands take a lead – we’ve achieved that here without any compromise to the consumer experience, continuing to deliver on our Winning with Purpose agenda.”
