Antalis adds new sustainable cushioning solutions to portfolio

ANTALIS has announced it has added to its range of protective packaging solutions with the introduction of new PadPak Guardian from Ranpak.

The product is described as an ‘in-the-box’ solution that can convert both single and two-ply paper, offering businesses more versatility from just one machine and providing a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic cushioning.

The paper is fed from a pre-folded block into the converter to create a variety of cushioning pads. Antalis described the converter as being ‘extremely adaptable’ with options to work at height or lowered, and can be moved around the packing area ‘with ease’. Its size means it can be positioned in tight corners.

There are three speed settings, producing up to 1.2m of pads per second, and five operation modes, managed by touch screen, Antalis added.  The pads can be used to cushion both light and heavy items.

Stuart Bates, Antalis Solutions sales manager said, “Over recent months, we have seen e-commerce and logistics businesses all over the country having to cope with fewer packing staff and higher volumes. In addition, many companies have had to look to diversify to keep going, which, for some, has meant having to pack new and unfamiliar products of varying shapes, sizes and types.”
