ANTALIS Packaging has donated 1,000 boxes to the ‘Help NHS Heroes’ initiative.
When the firm received a call asking for help, Antalis’ packaging team delivered the boxes to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage that same day.
Help NHS Heroes is setting up ‘pop-up’ shops and distribution points across the country at hospitals to help provide NHS staff with essential items.
Holly Jackson, sales manager from Antalis Packaging, coordinated the delivery and also volunteered at the Lister Hospital pop-up tent to make up food parcels and help with their distribution. The parcels contained enough food for two days and were distributed to key workers.
Holly said, “We sprang into action for this worthy cause with the supply of boxes, tape and tape dispensers to help the charity assemble food packages as easily as possible. We are very proud, and honoured to have played a small part in managing to put a smile on our NHS heroes’ faces at this very difficult time.”
Antalis is now looking at how the business can improve the boxes for future food distribution with the aid of hand-holds so that the boxes can be carried off-site with ease.
