EFIA offers free Academy training places to members

THE European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) is offering 20 free places on its  flexographic e-training solution for EFIA members.

Debbie Waldron Hoines, consultant CEO explained, “We know this is an incredibly tough time for some companies in the flexo sector with many staff working from home or furloughed due to the Covid-19 situation. While employees are furloughed, they are allowed to complete training and the Academy is completely delivered online so a perfect solution for someone connecting from home.

“We’re offering 20 places completely free of charge, on a first come, first served basis, and will discount further places as required. As the industry’s trade association, we hope this helps to support our members through what has been a torrid time.”

The EFIA Academy is a module-based flexographic training solution described as ‘ideal’ for a range of employees from across the flexographic supply chain.

Debbie added, “Many think that the Academy is just designed to train printers but it’s so much more than that. We provide modules on understanding the basics of print and colour through to improving knowledge on paper and film. There’s something for everyone, whether a graphic designer, pre-press operator, customer service administrator, printer or anyone involved in the flexographic process.  Students gain points towards a certificate or diploma and can complete hands on training, to complement their learning, after this situation is over.”

The EFIA Academy was revamped last year to bring the education programme up to date.
