JOHN Peat has been appointed managing partner and managing director at flexible packaging business ePac UK.
The move has been announced ahead of the opening of the company’s first European production site at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, later this month.
John previously joint owned New Era Packaging in Ireland, which was sold in 2015. He has also held senior roles at label printing companies, MCC and CCL. He joins ePac from MCC Label, where he was most recently global chief technology officer and president healthcare for Europe.
As MD of ePac UK, John will be tasked with overseeing all sites in the UK and Ireland as the company expands in those markets. He will work closely with Johnny Hobeika, who heads up ePac Holdings Europe as MD, and Nick Monk, who was appointed sales director UK & Ireland and managing partner for ePac UK earlier this year.
“I’m very excited to be joining this innovative company at such a crucial time and look forward to the challenge,” John commented. “The flexible packaging market in Europe is most definitely ripe for innovation, and in particular, ready for digital print with all the benefits the technology can bring to brands of all sizes. I have always had a passion for pushing the boundaries and relish the chance to be an integral part of ePac UK’s future.”
Johnny Hobeika added, “I’m extremely pleased that John has come onboard. Adding him to our top team is a major step forward for ePac UK. He will be a huge asset to the company, as we continue on our path to disrupt the flexible packaging market in the UK and Ireland.”
