MIKE Turner has been appointed managing director of the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA).
The organisation said the move helps to further secure recognition of ECMA as the ‘leading pan-European association’ for the carton sector.
Mike’s experience includes 15 years with packaging solutions provider International Paper. He has also been involved in the management of other industry associations, including Pack2Go Europe.
ECMA explained that the role covers previous responsibilities held by Hans van Schaik and Rogier Krabbendam.
Jean-François Roche, ECMA president said, “We warmly welcome Mike into his new role. He has a deep understanding of our complex industry landscape and is perfectly positioned to guide long-term strategy and help our members effect real change to continually drive the sector forward.
“In September, Mike will be joining our annual congress in Malta, where converters and industry suppliers meet to share the latest trends and developments within the folding carton industry supply chain, to meet our partner members. We encourage our delegates to seek Mike out for a warm welcome.”
