JIFFY Packaging has invested in a new bubble film extruder, which the firm says will allow it to ‘significantly increase’ capacity and future-proof output from its Cheshire factory.
The high-speed line, producing mono film at 2.5m wide and with in-line capabilities, will be tasked with servicing Jiffy’s internal demand for bubble film for the company’s mailers, pouches and laminated products.
Jiffy added that the company has recently seen increased demand for its products in sectors including transit packaging, construction and automotive.
Managing director Richard Gregg said, “In making these significant investments we are future proofing our business in order to remain ahead of changes in customer demand.
“We operate in a dynamic sector and challenge ourselves to constantly innovate. The new machine will only further enhance our position as a leading manufacturer of protective packaging.”
