TRI-Star Packaging has launched a new fully recyclable Spartan pot.
The pots are described as being made from 85% “premium high-clarity” UK-sourced recycled PET (rPET).
Tri-Star said the Spartan food-to-go option meets the “surging demand” for eco-packaging. The product is heat-sealable and available with different lidding options.
With a clip-in mini spoon lid option, Spartan pots are said to suit the requirements of eat-on-the-go operators such as delis and food stalls. Typical foods they can be used for include pasta, salad, olives, fruit pieces and muesli.
Kevin Curran, Tri-Star Packaging managing director said, “Spartan is our new hero for sustainable product ranges and is the latest and best example of our commitment to develop responsible, environment-friendly food-to-go packaging to date. Spartan delivers on our promise to sell the best and most appropriate packaging for the fast-growing food-to-go market, while making a positive and measurable contribution to our customer’s essential environmentally sustainable journey.”
The pots come in 290ml and 410ml sizes.
