POLLARD Group has revealed that the use of “high quality” materials and special print finishes are involved in the creation of collectible Blu-ray SteelBooks from specialist supplier EverythingBlu.
The rigid box specialist has been working with the company on limited-edition releases, helping to produce premium boxes.
For one recent release, Hot Fuzz, Pollard incorporated the Scodix high gloss finish to provide intricate detail on the pistol grip and sunglasses in the on-pack imagery. Another recent project saw the use of multi-level embossing and individual numbering for the 1,000 limited edition copies of Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
“We aim to offer our customers the best editions of Blu-ray movies in the world and the packaging, in terms of both its looks and practicality, is essential in creating a highly collectible item each time,” said Adeniyi Dairo of EverythingBlu.
