THE doors have opened to the co-located ICE Europe and CCE International exhibitions, at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany.
For the next three days, the converting industry is gathering for the 11th ICE Europe show, featuring 463 exhibitors from 25 countries. Firms are showcasing the latest machines, systems, accessories and services for the finishing and processing of flexible, web-based materials, such as paper, film, foil and non-wovens.
Trends such as digitalisation, individualisation and sustainability are on the agenda, while four exhibitors who stand out in these areas will be honoured with the ICE Awards 2019 during an official ceremony. For the first time, an area of the exhibition is dedicated to the future markets of special films and extrusion.
CCE International, meanwhile, is the show for the corrugated and folding carton industry. Some 155 exhibitors from 23 countries are in attendance, presenting raw materials, machines, accessories and services for the production and conversion of corrugated and cartonboard, covering the entire production chain.
The latest technology trends will be discussed in the free seminar programme, with experts debating topics such as digital print, sustainability and innovative converting techniques.
Both ICE and CCE will run until March 14.
