TRADE body the Can Makers has launched a new interactive website intended to showcase the benefits of drinks cans.
The Can Makers, which represents drinks can manufacturers in the UK, said the site was developed in response to the country’s “growing demand for the sustainable pack format”.
The new site features animated infographics and educational videos, downloadable whitepapers and market commentary. It also includes a dedicated sustainability section and an interactive timeline about the history of the can. There is also information on can design options and a blog on key industry trends and insights.
The site aims to provide “one easy place” where fillers, retailers, industry bodies, governments and drinks manufacturers can access all the information they need on cans.
Marcel Arsand, chairman at the Can Makers said, “The can has been an unsung hero for too long, despite being the world’s most recycled pack format. Its future success is built upon strong industry education to raise its profile.
