The event was hosted by Brian Lister, country manager of SAICA Pack UK & Ireland

SAICA Pack recently hosted its 10th professional conference, titled ‘Unlocking the value chain‘, in Dublin.

More than 300 people attended the event, which saw industry experts discuss packaging solutions for customers as well as current issues within the retail market.

Miguel Ángel Martínez, SAICA’s commercial and marketing director, described the forum as an opportunity to collaborate with customers to help add value to their products through supply chain solutions. He said, “The end-to-end approach shapes our goal of ‘unlocking the value chain’ which represents Saica´s aim to improve every step in our customers’ value proposal by working together towards a sustainable world.”

Michael Shaw, SAICA Ireland regional sales director, shared examples of end-to-end experiences with local customers. Other contributors included Arnold Dillion (head of strategics campaigns IBEC) who spoke about the Brexit impact in the economy; Martin Kersh (FPA executive director); Joseph Reed (head of supply chain Europe and UK Pizza Hut) and Martin Leeming (TrakRap CEO).

Closing the event, SAICA group general manager Pedro Gascón said, “Innovation has been the basis of Saica’s development, and we continually challenge ourselves to further develop new products and more efficient processes so that we can move forward to the future.”
