ISHIDA Europe has launched two new multihead weighers designed for “fast and accurate” weighing of fragile products.
The manufacturer said easily-breakable products can pose a challenge for automated systems. With that in mind, the design of the new CCW-RV 10 and 14 heads GS weighers feature “gentle” slopes and reduced angles.
Bancollan inserts for the hoppers and discharge chute provide cushioning, while curved pool and weigh hopper designs are said to deliver controlled deceleration to further reduce breakage risks. AÂ ring shutter has been added to help prevent breakages due to product collisions in the discharge chute during transfer of product into the packaging machine.
For fragile frozen products such as pasta, seafood, fruits, vegetables and bakery items, the GS model can be specified in a waterproof version.
