RPC Zeller Plastik Zell will be hoping the best things really do come in small packages after releasing a 19mm tube closure, which the firm says is the first standard push-on flip-top hinge tube closure (HTC) of such a small size.
Aimed at cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, the new-size polypropylene closure extends RPC Zeller’s existing Supersoft range. The 1.2g closure is pushed onto the shoulder of tubes and, according to RPC Zeller Plastik Zell, can be oriented towards the printing for added decorative possibilities.
A glossy surface finish is said to help boost helps shelf appeal and this can be further enhanced by the availability of high-end decoration such as hot foiling around the entire cap, made possible by a hidden injection point.
RPC Zeller Plastik Zell added that the closure offers easy opening and closing with one hand and because it is a flip top, the cap remains on the container and cannot be lost.
