Machines tipped to star at beer industry trade show

MAKRO Labelling UK has confirmed it will be showcasing Eurostar products at the upcoming SIBA Beer X exhibition after being appointed agents for the Italian bottling equipment line manufacturer in the UK and Ireland.

Eurostar recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, during which time the business has sold over 1200 machines to the beverage, food, personal care and home care sectors.

Makro Labelling UK managing director Richard Portman said, “We have had huge success over the past year putting together small lines for micro producers of both beer, wines & spirits. The Eurostar range of machines fits the bill brilliantly for those who are on their second generation of equipment who want to move up from in-line fillers to rotary filling.

“Key to our choice of taking on the Eurostar agency for the UK and Ireland was their build and design quality. Just because the volumes of the micro producers are lower, does not mean they will accept inferior machines, and why should they when their products are top end high value brands ending up at the high-end bars and restaurants and retail outlets as well.

“Eurostar already have a few machine installations in the UK and Ireland for brewery, mineral water, soft drink and spirit clients. We will be exhibiting at the SIBA Beer X exhibition in March, Beer-X stand no 50 / 51, which will be the first time we have been able to show Eurostar to a wider micro-brew audience. Since concluding on the agency agreement, we have had tremendous interest in the Eurostar machinery, so the first orders are likely to happen shortly—watch this space.”

BeerX UK will take place in Liverpool at the Exhibition Centre on March 14 and 15.
