NEEDHAM Coding has introduced the ‘S’ series of drop-on-demand inkjet printers, described by the firm as being “ideal” for secondary packaging applications.
The range has been developed to offer high resolution, large character printing to complement the Sauven Marking ink business which its sister company, Needham Inks, acquired in 2015.
Needham said that, depending on the model, the ‘S’ series printer can print up to eight lines of text per print head, 17mm maximum total print height per print head and up to 100m/min print speed.
MD Aled Ellis said, “We had a gap in our portfolio for an own-brand range of drop-on-demand inkjet printers that would complement the Sauven ink business that we purchased a few years ago. Following discussions with existing users of Sauven printers it was evident that they required like-for-like inkjet technology.”
