Flexible packaging manufacturer Saica Flex has designed a new 100% recyclable cover that adapts to APET trays.
The new ‘Monoflex’ product consists of a cover based on PET, which is weldable to APET trays.
The cover “improves packaging transparency and brightness which allows the consumer to have a greater visibility in the purchase of sliced products, and single dose oils and vinegars whilst still retaining all the functionality of existing solutions,” according to Saica.
The cover design has been developed by Saica Flex’s research and development team as part of the company’s “continuous commitment to innovation” and the circular economy.
Saica Flex product and application development manager, Ricardo Cañavate, commented, “This allows us to do more with less. Without a doubt, we have launched a unique product that offers environmental benefits that enhance the positioning and reputation of our customers.”
