ICE achieves SafeContractor accreditation

Coding and marking supplier Interactive Coding Equipment (ICE) has achieved SafeContractor accreditation.

SafeContractor is a third party accreditation scheme for UK contractors. In order to achieve accreditation, a business must undergo a vetting process examining their health and safety procedures and track record of safe practice.

Chris Simpson, ICE managing director, commented, “A business can only regard itself as truly successful if it is following and achieving the highest standards in all areas of health and safety.

“The safety of our employees, customers and suppliers is the key priority in all areas of our business.”

John Kinge, technical director of SafeContractor, added, “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.

“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that ICE has done.”
