North east firm targets growth

NBT GROUP is on target to double its turnover by 2015 with an new growth strategy and image for its new generation of customers.
Established over 100 years ago, the family-run firm is one of the longest standing packaging businesses in the North East.
The founder’s great grandson Toby Bridges is currently at the helm and overseeing a rebranding exercise that has involved the creation of three new company brands to allow clearer room for growth.
THINK is its industrial tapes and adhesives business, DEFINITIVE provides packaging and SIDEKICK supplies office products to the SME community.
Bridges said: “The range of packaging we offer is extensive and the product range includes everything and anything, from bubble wrap and printed tape, to robust boxes and edge, protectors providing maximum protection for your goods.”
Established in 1908 in Newcastle, the NBT Group now employs 19 people at its North Tyneside base, and recently employed its sixth member of staff in less than two years.
The managing director added: “2012 has been a great year showing 30% growth and with these new brands for our three distinct service lines, we are geared up to take our products and services to a more targeted audience.”
