• REXAM is investing £20m in a fourth manufacturing line at its beverage can plant in Ludesch, Austria.
The facility is next to Red Bull’s contract filling partner Rauch, and is used solely to make cans for its world famous energy drink.
The plant currently produces just over two billion cans a year and when it comes on stream in late 2013, line four will add an extra 0.7 billion capacity.

• NEWMAN Labelling Systems has redesigned its website in a bid to provide more in-depth information in an easy to access format.
Visitors to the site can search for labelling systems by the type of container to be labelled, shown both graphically and through text.
Each labelling system is shown with a brief system overview with drill down menus containing more detailed information.

• AN updated website launched by Edale is offering more content focussing on its core products: the FL-3 printing press for labels and flexible packaging, the Gamma printing and converting system and the Gamma and FDC-510, flatbed die cutter. Videos illustrating the machines’ specifications are also part of the new look design.

• MONDI Group has won several accolades recognizing its commitment to sustainability.
It collected three awards from Pulp and Paper International for environmental strategy, managing risk and safety and efficiency improvements and two awards from WWF International for ‘transparency’ and ‘best environmental performance’.
